It's tough to tell how much playing time Cody McCormick will actually get. Two seasons ago he played in 81 games, but this season he played in just 50.
He's not going to put up many points, but maybe with the additions of John Scott and Steve Ott, McCormick will have less fighting to do. That may lead to a slight increase in offensive production.
His best season was 2011-2012 when he put up eight goals and 21 points. However, that was the only season in which he played more than 55 games. He played fewer than 55 in his other seven NHL seasons.
The big question for McCormick is how much playing time will he actually get? Will he hit 100 penalty minutes? Will he even have to?
