Day #4 of Sabres in Focus - Nathan Gerbe

The smallest player on the Sabres had a rough season last year, missing some time and totaling 25 points (6 G, 19 A) in 62 games.

Assuming he plays a full season this year, or close to it, I think you can expect him to top 40 points. I see him producing a 20/20 season, which would give him career highs in goals, assists and points.

While some may say that they wouldn't miss Gerbe if he was traded, I beg to differ. This 5'5" forward plays with heart and doesn't care about his height. He wants to win, and I believe the Sabres need players like him on the team.

I think the Sabres will be better overall this season. I believe they should have done well last season, but missed something close to 400 man games. I think this year's team will be much improved, which is why I'm predicting these players to rebound.

My prediction: 75 GP, 21 G, 23 A, 44 pts

Based on the polls from yesterday's post, readers have predicted Ennis' offensive totals for this season.

My prediction: 27 G, 32 A, 59 pts
Readers' prediction: 27 G, 34 A, 61 pts.
