Whatever happened to having a goalie?

This season started off decent enough, Leclaire was playing 'good enough' and then when he went down Elliott looked to have a found a groove eventually, and Mike Brodeur played a hell of a game.

So far in 3 games this year (2010) Leclaire/Elliott have allowed 13 goals. The fact we've picked up a win in those 3 games is nothing short of amazing, and considering Fisher and Michalek are scoring as often as Spezza, one win is actually remarkable. Maybe it's time to give Brodeur another shot?

However considering how tight the Eastern Conference is and how close the Northeast division is, Ottawa needs to a better winning percentage than 33.33%, much better.

There really isn't a lot of good to take out of this game. Fisher and Michalek still haven't scored, our shutdown pairing was badly exposed and our white knight Ryan Shannon seems to have fallen back to earth. Not to mention our 9th (?) 'too many men' penalty, not sure if we can still accuse the refs of biases, Clouston should be getting better at avoiding penalties like this.

The silver-lining tonight was a phenomenal performance by Erik Karlsson. Sporadically this season Erik Karlsson has shown flashes of his amazing potential, it'd be nice to see this version of Karlsson on a nightly basis.

I wish I had more to say positive on this game, but really there isn't, and I don't it any of us want an extended rundown about how poorly our goalies are playing and how our scoring....isn't scoring.
