Let the good times roll....

Nothing washes away the stink of a 5 game losing streak like a 5 game (and counting) winning streak.

Tonight was another great game played by the Senators.

Their biggest killer this season has now turned into their biggest strength as their goaltending has been unbelievably better thanks to Brian Elliott and Mike Brodeur.

I can't help but re-enforce just how important for Ottawa it is, for them to believe in their goaltenders abilities. It's not a coincidence that Ottawa has been playing so much better, since Brodeur posted those two wins.

Also seeing Erik Karlsson and Peter Regin playing in the final minute with the Sens defending a one goal lead, just illustrates how far along both of these players have come.

It has become very visible how much better Karlsson is lately, even more impressive is the fact he has been among the team leaders each game for ice-time.

And well what can I say about Peter Regin? He is taking shape as a top-six forward and showing the potential to be quite possibly a top-line center.

The Sens are firing on all cylinders and are expecting Spezza to return to the line-up any day now. Jason better be ready, because Alfie and Michalek have been much better since returning, and given the amount hate he's taken this season, he can't afford to return and produce at the pace he was. The city was turning on him before he was injured, so he needs to come back and show that it was only an injury slowing him down, not complacency.

Tonight wasn't all good, as A-Train left the game with a 'Upper Body Injury', obviously it's to early to know just how much, if any, time he'll miss.
