Every article, I try to include a poll question for readers to vote on, then review the results from the week’s polls every weekend. I'm late on this one, but here are last week’s poll results and my thoughts on how they turned out.

Do you think Brendan Guhle will have a roster spot to start next season?

(Votes: 29)

Yes: 79%
No: 21%

Whether Guhle starts in the lineup or the press box, I think there’s a very strong chance he’s with the Ducks full-time next season. He spent half the year in the NHL and I imagine Guhle and Jacob Larsson will be battling for the last spot in the lineup. He doesn’t need any more development in San Diego and it’s time to see what he can do full-time with the Ducks.

If the Ducks aren’t in a position to compete again next season, should they trade Josh Manson?

(Votes: 134)

Yes: 81%
No: 19%

Manson is a key part of Anaheim’s defense and his loss would be felt in a significant way. But he’s going to be 29 years old next season and if the Ducks aren’t going to be able to compete for a playoff spot, it’s best to move him for assets, even if there’s no immediate replacement for him in the organization.

Do you see the lack of depth on the right side of Anaheim’s defense as an area of concern?

(Votes: 34)

Yes: 85%
No: 15%

A lot of people highlight Anaheim’s forward group as a weakness, which is fair, but we can’t forget that Josh Manson is the only quality defender the Ducks have on the right side. That’s why trading him would create such a problem for the team. If there was some pre-existing depth on the right side, it would be much easier to do. So yeah, like the majority of voters said, it's certainly an area of concern.
