The Anaheim Ducks announced yesterday that they’ve re-signed Brendan Guhle and Sam Carrick.
Guhle’s deal is for two years and will be worth $800,000 per year. This was his first full season as part of the Ducks organization, after being acquired from Buffalo in the Brandon Montour trade last year. Guhle split this season between the NHL and AHL, scoring eight points in 30 games with the Ducks and 14 points in 27 games with San Diego. He’ll have a good shot at making the Ducks’ roster out of training camp next season.
Carrick’s extension is worth $700,000 and is a one-year contract. He’s spent the last four seasons with San Diego and while he isn’t likely to many games with the Ducks next year, he’ll continue to provide some veteran leadership in the AHL.

Poll results got pushed back another day, so here’s today’s poll question (results for this poll will not be included in tomorrow’s poll review):
Do you think Brendan Guhle will have a roster spot to start next season?
