Hey all,
This afternoon AJ's announced that William Nylander's appearance, scheduled for this evening, has been postponed due to unforeseen commitments arising out of Leafs rookie camp. Once information regarding a new date or all out cancellation have been announced I'll pass it on. Sucks for those planning on going, but a life lesson in always checking the site/calling ahead to make sure everything is proceeding as planned as this stuff does happen!

With the silly season of the NHL’s annual free agency rush fading somewhat in our mental rear view mirrors, more and more of us have turned to contemplating what lies in wait for our clubs once the early days of October hit. For some teams, the answer to that is somewhat more evident than others. Case in point: Maple Leafs fans have come to the realization that the roster is going to be significantly younger moving forward, and the names on the jerseys are not going to comprise of the usual cast of characters they are accustomed to seeing on a nightly basis.
This necessitates tempered expectations with respect to the on-ice product, particularly over the immediate few seasons, yet, at the same time, has produced the first genuine optimism for many fans who will willingly tolerate growing pains for a franchise engaging in what appears to be their first well-engineered plan to build a winning team from the ground up.
This game plan has a trickle over impact on the collectibles market in Toronto as it is contingent on building a foundation of potential young stars who promoters in the area now have access to for signings. Luckily for those of us in the GTA, one such event is occurring tonight at 7pm when 2014 1st round pick William Nylander rolls into AJ Sportsworld!
Prices are at the floor for this one, with regular and premium tickets going for $20 and $30, respectively. If you can’t make it, the store will have signed 8x10’s, pucks and jerseys available for purchase at the store or over the website.
