Who Am I? #4

Here we go with another kick at the “Who Am I?” can! I have to say that Hockeybuzz has some pretty knowledgeable hockey fans as evidenced by how many people are able to figure these out pretty quickly! Rather than scale back to 5 clues I’m going to go the route of making the clues trickier to figure out and welcome you posting not only your guess as to the person I’m referring to, but the information supporting the clues. So for a challenge figure out the person and how the clues fit him/her!

As a refresher, here’s how we play: You get 10 facts about an individual in the game of hockey, past or present, and have to identify the person the clues are referring to. Post your answers in the comments, and I will post the answer in the next edition questions.

So before we get going, here are the answers from “Who Am I?” #3:

1) I played for only two teams during my 15 year NHL career.

(Quebec 79-90, Chicago 90-94)

2) I am a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame

(1998)

3) I was the first player drafted on my original club in their first year as an NHL franchise.

(Quebec, 1979 Draft, 20th overall)

4) I scored at least 20 goals every season of my career except the last.

5) I played in only one Stanley Cup final, for the losing team, yet have won a Cup.

(Lost as a Blackhawks player in the Chicago vs Pittsburgh, 1992 finals, but won a Cup as the Director of Player Personnel for the Colorado Avalanche in 1996 and one as VP of Player Personnel in 2001)

6) I retired due to a head injury.

(March 16, 1994; Severe concussion with post-trauma symptoms)

7) I played a single season in the WHA.

(Birminghm Bulls, 1978-79)

8) I scored at more than a point a game pace during my playing career.

(1152 points in 1049 games)

9) I scored 50 goals in four consecutive seasons.

(1982-83 to 1985-86)

10) I was the first player in NHL history whose contract was written entirely in French.

“Who Am I?”: I’m Michel Goulet!

Now for this week’s clues!

1) Of my brothers, one was drafted by an NHL team while another was not drafted but played in the NHL.

2) I have played in seven professional leagues.

3) I have been coached by a brother.

4) My brothers and I have scored 2,861 NHL points.

5) I played only 1 NHL game against one of my brothers.

6) Each game I played in the NHL was for the same team.

7) I'm a third round NHL draft pick.

8) Former teammates include Andre Racicot, Clint Malarchuk and Pavol Demitra.

9) I was signed as a free agent by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

10) A severe foot condition almost ended my career.

Best of luck folks! Hope this one is more challenging than the last three!
