And we’re back with another test of your hockey knowledge with “Who Am I?”, the game where you take the clues and try to name the person in the sport of hockey they refer too! I certainly hope this week will be more challenging for you than weeks gone by! I have a feeling it might be…

Before we get to this week’s challenge, though, let’s take a look at the info from last time:

1. I hold this NHL game winning record. (Most games won by a goaltender in an expansion teams 1st season with 22 for the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2000-01)

2. I have played for two expansion teams, two teams that are currently playing in cities other than those they were originally founded in, and two teams founded in the WHA. (Anaheim Ducks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Quebec Nordiques, Dallas Stars, Edmonton Oilers)

3. I hold an NHL regular season game record. (Most saves in a regular season game non-loss, stopping 70 of 73 shots in a 3-3 tie with the Boston Bruins on March 21, 1991).

4. I’m a one time 1st team all star. (1999)

5. I set a record, then broke it two days later. (Guy Hebert’s “Most Saves in an Anaheim Ducks Game” record of 40. On November 19, 1993, one month after Hebert accomplished this record, Tugnutt stopped 44 of 47 shots against in a 6-3 win. On November 21, 1993, he broke the record again stopping 46 of 48 shots in a 4-2 win.)

6. I won a rookie award. (F. W. "Dinty" Moore Trophy for the OHL rookie with the best goals against average)

7. I played for eight different NHL teams. (Anaheim, Columbus, Quebec, Dallas, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa, Pittsburgh)

8. Although signing a one year contract with a ninth NHL team, I spent the entire season playing for their AHL affiliate. (Washington Capitals AHL team the Portland Pirates)

9. I was chosen in two NHL drafts (4th Round of the 1986 Entry Draft and in the 1993 Expansion Draft)

10. I’m currently working for two hockey organizations. (Peterborough Petes of the OHL and Hockey Canada with their World Junior and Under 18 programs)

Who Am I? I’m…….Ron Tugnutt

Congrats to those who got last week’s! Now do your best on this bad boy!!! Those of you who can identify this hockey player are truly deserving of some credit! Post your answers in the comments, and please provide some rationale for you choice in the form of answers to the now eight clues (I tried five and it was too few. Have used 10 for ages and it was too many. We’ll see how eight works!)

Best of luck folks!

1. I’m a two-time Olympic gold medal winner.

2. My grandfather was a three time Stanley Cup champion.

3. My father played in the NHL but did not win a Stanley Cup.

4. I played four seasons of US College Hockey.

5. I’m a two-time gold medal and four-time silver medal winner in the IIHF World Championships.

6. I was a one-time player of the year award winner in college.

7. I have a family member in the hockey hall of fame.

8. I have competed in a Cup finals for the losing team.

Give it your best folks! Looking forward to seeing your guesses…
