The Carolina Hurricanes fell 3-2 to the Columbus Blue Jackets last night.

This was a game that the Hurricanes probably deserved to win. They had the better chances, were getting more rushes and hit more posts and crossbars along the way. Brock McGinn alone was getting tons of chances and while he managed to get a goal, it’s surprising he didn’t have a few more.

Defensively, the Hurricanes generally had a strong performance. They didn’t allow a ton of quality chances, though there were some key mistakes, like on Jack Roslovic’s goal. Still though, Carolina managed to limit their chances.

Alex Nedeljkvoic was alright in his first start of the season. None of the goals were his fault, that said, the Hurricanes needed a save and Nedeljkovic couldn’t give them one.

Despite the loss, this wasn’t a bad performance from the Hurricanes by any means. They couldn’t capitalize but that’s not a trend with this team and shouldn’t be an issue going forward.
