Updated Expo Signings: Lots 'o' Leafs, Goalies, Families and more! (Maple Leafs)

Hey everyone! It’s the “day before… reminder that the bi-annual Sportcard and Memorabilia Expo is about to roll into Toronto! If you’ve never been, I cannot recommend checking this event out enough! Not only is this a veritable museum of hockey memorabilia in many respects (albeit with the vast majority of the “displays… being peddled to attendees), but it’s a fantastic opportunity to chase down some of those autographs you’ve been looking for to expand your collections…

Given the geographical location of the event, and the Maple Leafs Centennial Season celebrations, you can be sure to see many a “blue and white… signer on the docket. Opening day of the Expo (Friday, May 5th) will see four former Leafs (Johnny Bower, Red Kelly, Norm Ullman and Eddie Shack) taking part in a “Fan Appreciation… event, with all players being packaged together at a $30 hit. Saturday and Sunday will then see former Leafs players Grant Fuhr, Eric Lindros and Curtis Joseph whipping out the sharpies as well, giving a grand total of seven Maple Leafs over the course of the Expo.

This weekend will also be golden for those who collect the goalies, as in addition to the aforementioned Fuhr and Joseph, both Bernie Parent and Billy Smith will be appearing, providing a solid four goalie selection. This edition of the Expo is also a bit of a family affair, with Mark and Marty Howe, Bobby and Dennis Hull, and “The Hanson Brothers… attending for individual and package signings, while the first father of hockey, Walter Gretzky, will be on hand Saturday to sign for free to the lucky 150 folks who manage to get tickets! Need more? Hall of Famers’ Guy LaFleur and Paul Coffey, Devils forward Taylor Hall, and Coyotes forward Max Domi will be interspersed across the weekend, providing some additional punch to a solid roster of signers! Head on over to the Sportcard Expo website for all the additional details you’ll want/need, and happy hunting while you’re there!
