knives and daggers already out for Hughes because he isnt a French guy.....thats a ridiculous argument from the Francophones...hopefully they will change their minds when Gorton/Hughes delivers a solid product down the line.....hold on its gonna be a bumpy ride for a couple of years...

Gorton hired his neighboor in Cape Cod, this wall obviously rigged from the start. But stop it with "the best candidate available" he has absolutely no experience in hockey management, Gorton hired his buddy, which I can understand.

I'm not saying they won't have success but to me the team has lost it's identity, to me they have become the Maple leafs 2.0

I was disappointed in it but it's a solid gif at least. It was also my way of saying I'm not going to do it again today

Jeff Gorton has a master degree in sports management, and Kent Hughes has a law degree.

Not to be a snob or anything, but this is a sharp turn from what they usually go for.

Rigged…. Maybe and entertaining for the fan base absolutely but saying that the guy has no experience in hockey management… I don’t support that…

Players agents are part of the process…. He is not coming from the perfume industry….

And for the Maple Leafs 2.0, well…. We will have to finish in top 5 and implode during the playoffs for at least 5 consecutive years before we can say that…

hey now, don't forget they still have Martin Lapointe, who is basically a Timmins clone

yeah, managing players as an agent and knowing the CBA like the back of your hand is totally irrelevant.

Really?

I am happy they won but honestly, we needed Montembeault to play like Price when he was at his best and the other goalie was let’s say poor at best…. A (frank)ing chance a hockey game does not have 4 20 minutes periods…. I think we were very close to another disaster…

But at least Drouin showed some nerves…. LOL

who knows how long he is there for, once they hire their director of amateur scouting, he might not be around.

Roomer is they might hire this summer, after the draft...Daniel Doré from the NYR

Everything that could go right for MTL did last night and the exact opposite for Dallas, the score clearly does not reflect how the game went.
