It was November 2nd, 2017 when I posted my first blog here on Hockeybuzz under the name Justin Lowe.

231 blogs later, a lot has changed. The Hawks have had a lot of ups-and-downs and I know we're all hoping they are on the trend upwards.

One thing that I hope has remained consistent for you all is my writing voice. Here's an excerpt from my November 2nd blog:

"My promise to you is that I will be consistent, relevant and responsive. I want to foster a positive environment and welcome fans of all levels to have a voice here.

I'm looking to have that voice (your voice) go beyond the message boards. I will be integrating opinions, questions, and themes into the body of these blogs as much as possible. You are the ones that make this website tick, so it's only fair in my opinion."

I believe I've stayed true to that. So, you'll forgive me that I lied to you about my name. My real name (as most of you already know) is Tyler Cameron. I'm still the same person and my writing will not change at all.

The rationale is that when I began writing for Hockeybuzz, I had a job in the sports industry working for theScore in Canada and we had an outside writing policy.

Well, I'm no longer there and I wanted to make the change officially now that the Hawks 2018-19 season is complete.

Like the Hawks going through a transition, I'm hoping the name change brings better luck to their fortunes. If not, we'll still have a lot of fun on the message boards and talk Blackhawks hockey endlessly.

I want to thank you all who have been contributing to the conversation on the message boards and to those who are lurkers only. Please don't be shy if you are the latter, the more of us in our community, the better.

As for current affairs, there's not much going on in Hawks land, so I wanted to pose a few NHL playoff questions to spark the chatter on the boards:

* Which players have stood out to you this post-season that have surprised you with their game-changing ability?

* Any players caught your eye that realistically could be Blackhawks targets this summer?

* If you had to guess today, who is skating around with the Stanley Cup mid-June?

--

That's all I got for today.

See ya out there,
TC
