The 2013 NHL Draft has come and gone, and the Sabres stocked up with a pair of defensemen in the first round. Are you satisfied with what Darcy Regier and the Sabres did on Sunday?
Here's a list of the draft picks:
The Sabres also traded away Andrej Sekera and acquried Jamie McBain.
I was hoping the Sabres could land Elias Lindholm, but after he was selected by Carolina, it didn't really matter to me who the Sabres picked. With the #8 pick, I believed there was enough talent to have Buffalo select an elite prospect. While the Sabres need help on offense, I do like the two Dmen they took.
Rasmus Ristolainen on playing physical: "Playing that way has always been in my mind; it's natural. I need to do that and it's helped."
"I just like to hit people and score goals. I really like hitting." - Nikita Zadorov
I think I speak for most when I say that I am pleased with the selection of Buffalo native, Justin Bailey. Can't help but love the hometown kid.
"Bailey owns one of the best shots in the entire draft class, and has incredible athleticism and skating ability; looks like a linebacker on ice but has great hands. Injuries slowed him some this year and doesn't play as big as people want him to be, but still competes and puts forth an honest effort each shift." -Futureconsiderations.ca
With the draft completed and free agency set for Friday, I am opening up the mailbag once again, so feel free to submit your questions:
