Update: Shattenkirk will be in the lineup versus the Canucks.

Captain ShattenKirk has been promoted. He has graduated (for the moment) Starfleet Academy and will be on the Colorado Avalanche for tomorrow night's game versus Vancouver.

There's no word as to whether or not he will play tomorrow night but for the moment, with Adam Foote and Kyle Cumiskey out, both with head injuries, Shattenkirk has been called up.

It is possible that Shattenkirk will play as the Avs have dressed seven defensemen in the past but right now it would probably be unlikely but still possible.

In other news, Foote, Cumskey and Craig Anderson did not practice today and the Avs have also sent down Kevin Porter to Lake Erie.
