As the Avalanche finish their southern California swing, they are turning to a Finnish goalie to help them.

Same Aittokallio, the Avalanche's fourth round selection in the 2010 entry draft, will make his NHL debut as the Avs take on the Los Angeles Kings, looking to win two straight on the road since Feb. 14.

Aittokallio, a native of Tampere, Finland, has appeared in 26 games for the Avs' minor league affiliate the Lake Erie Monsters, going 14-11-1-1 with a 2.89 goals against average and a .903 save percentage.

He will try to keep the momentum that Jean-Sebastien Giguere established with his 21 save effort in a 4-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks just two days after he called out his team for their lazy play.
