(M)Over Achiever - Seider getting accolades has been a thread in several recent articles. It’s tough to get away because he keeps turning heads. A season that could have been a loss for some players became a huge opportunity for Detroit’s top defensive prospect.

We talked about past Red Wings with a shot to win the cup a few weeks ago. While Tatar is on the shelf (along with Ouelette and Merrill) he is a former player that I’d love to see skate a cup one day. Montreal won the Canadian division and is waiting to see who their first American opponent will be. The Islanders grabbed a series lead, and Tampa can close out Carolina, and Colorado and Vegas are going to take it to the limit.

So, how are you all doing? Are the playoffs on track to what you expected, or was Montreal a bit of a shock? The divisions felt so different this year. The Canadian division felt like a time warp back to the 80s in terms of scoring. The script seemed to flip and the division went a bid sideways. But, looking at Tampa, Boston (or NYI), Colorado and Vegas, it’s just a completely different world. Just out of curiosity, would Toronto and Edmonton have lit up as much if they were playing in the traditional divisions?

Let me know where your think we’re headed. TB repeat? Colorado? Vegas gets over? Boston vs Montreal? Let me know, also, if your original thoughts didn’t pan out. It’s definitely been interesting.
