The Hurricanes were set to face the Florida Panthers in both of the games. The decision comes after five of Carolina’s players were added to the NHL’s COVID Protocol list. In addition to Jordan Staal, who was already on the list, Warren Foegele, Jordan Martinook, Jaccob Slavin and Teuvo Teravainen were all added to the Protocol list yesterday as well.
Seeing the next two games postponed isn’t overly surprising, after Carolina’s game against the Nashville Predators yesterday was postponed.
As of now, the Hurricanes’ next game is scheduled for next Tuesday, against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
