The Carolina Hurricanes placed seven players on waivers today. Those players are: Antoine Bibeau, Jeremy Bracco, Gustav Forsling, Max McCormick, Steven Lorentz, Spencer Smallman and Drew Shore.

It’s not overly surprising to see these players waived, as none of them were likely to earn a lineup spot with the Hurricanes. It’s also unlikely any of the players who were waived will be claimed by another team.

However, it’s worth noting that players will need to pass through waivers to join the taxi squad, so the Hurricanes could still possibly use some of these players on the taxi squad. That said, with Bibeau being waived and Alex Nedeljkovic still in camp, it seems very highly likely that the Hurricanes will go with Alex Nedeljkovic as their third goaltender.
