The Carolina Hurricanes unveiled their Reverse Retro alternate jersey today, shown below.

The jersey is a throwback to the Hartford Whalers, however, it remixes the Whalers’ classic colours. The base of the jersey will be grey, with green, blue and white stripes, rather than using a green, blue or white base colour.

I’m definitely a fan of the Hurricanes bringing back the Whalers jersey and putting a bit of a twist on it. Not only is it a great nod to the team’s history, it’ll make for a cool contrast with Carolina’s red, white and black colour scheme. Overall, I think this was one of the better retro jerseys released today.
