Los Angeles Kings prospect Carl Grundstrom is yet another player who will be starting his season in Sweden, after being loaned to IF Bjorkloven, a team in Sweden’s second-highest professional league.

Grundstrom is coming off a year spent mostly in the AHL, where he had 12 goals and 28 points in 40 games. He recently signed a two-year extension with the Kings and will likely be back with the organization for the start of the 2020-21 season. Grundstrom should have an opportunity to fight for a spot in the lineup and could manage to crack the Kings’ opening night roster with a strong performance in training camp.
