My thoughts… in the form of a podcast

Another nice win in Montreal for the Hawks.

I didn’t think they had a run in them, but I guess until I see 5 or 6 wins in a row, I will reserve excitement.

The Blackhawks are up the road from me currently as they prepare to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night.

Kane is 2 points away from 1,000 and I suspect he’ll look to put on a show for Hockey Night in Canada’s prime event of the night.

Kane grew up in Buffalo, which is only a couple hours from Toronto so I assume he will have his fair share of friends and family make the journey as well.

He also likely have a few of those friends and family join him Friday night in London, ON as the Knights send his jersey to the rafters. While he only played 1 season in the OHL, it was a doozy:

Regular Season
: 58 games, 62 goals, 83 assists, 145 points, +42
Playoffs: 16 games, 10 goals, 21 assists, 31 points, +2

I won’t go into much more on the Hawks and Leafs other to say I will be surrounded by Leafs fans up north at a hockey tournament so I sure hope Kaner puts on a show and the Hawks take the win.

The only other new is that the Blackhawks have recalled Brandon Hagel from Rockford as they place Dylan Strome retroactively on IR.

I would be surprised to see Hagel draw into the lineup after the Hawks lineup has been gelling well together in the last few games.

I will leave you with my thoughts in the form of a podcast I did with Gatekeeper from The-Rink.

This was recorded on Monday but the topics we cover are more broad like the trade deadline, Lehner’s contract, trading Gus, etc.

Give it a listen:

… and yes, I’m aware I’m driving you to another Blackhawks site to listen to this but I’m representing Hockeybuzz on this podcast (as well as promoting my book, “A Dude’s Guide to Surviving His Wedding”.

Also, life’s too short and we all just want to talk (and listen) to Blackhawks content so I hope you enjoy.

See ya out there!
