"The Canadiens aren't done by any means, after trading for Scott Gomez. One would have to assume they're out of the runnings for the Sedin twins, though stranger things have happened. The focus is undoubtedly on retaining Mike Komisarek, and the Habs will likely have to match higher offers to keep him. Should they deem the price too high, they will shift their focus to Francois Beauchemin, or Mathias Ohlund.
Many suggest 5, or 5.5 is too high a price to pay for Komisarek, but if that\'s his market value don't be surprised if the Canadiens step up and pay it. It\'s overpay Komisarek, or overpay someone else who might not be worth as much to the Canadiens.
Alex Kovalev is expected to sign a contract with the Montreal Canadiens. No word on whether offers will be tendered to Alex Tanguay, or Saku Koivu."
