Ill repost from your last blog.
Stalberg is a speedy waste of space.
On a side note I was just thinking about something. Hopefully you Pred's fans could fill me in since I dont recall. What was the reasoning for trading Hartnell? Did he want out of Nashville? Him and Timmo for a Philly 1st rounder seems like a bad deal. It turned into Blum. Which now is easy to see as a bad deal. Also what happened to your original 1st rounder? I seem to be having a issue figuring it out |

Looking forward to Forsberg breaking out. Kinda cant wait to see Nashville have some dangerous offensive talent. |

If I recall, Kimmo and baby Bull were impending UFA's, and we traded their rights to Philly for the first rounder that we gave to Philly as part of the Forsberg deal months earlier. We weren't goiing to resign either of them because i believe Leopold had just sold the team, and everything was up in the air. In the long run, most players involved in the Forsberg trade didn't pan out, but the summer of 2007 saw our team take a major hit. |

Johan Alm and Brian Lee also need to be thrown in there for the sixth d-man spot.
Alm (defensive defenseman) is coming over from Skelleftea (SHL) where he was a big part of their program. He is already 23 and he has already played big minutes against men so, for that reason, he might be a better option than Diaby, who plays a similar kind of game but might be able to provide a little more offense.
Brian Lee, 27, is a puck-moving right defenseman who has 200+ NHL games under his belt and is on a PTO agreement. If Ellis does not get resigned I would suspect the Predators sign him right away. Pretty safe bet to be a consistant 6/7 defenseman. It's also would be nice if the Predators could somewhat replace Ryan Ellis' offense in that bottom paring as opposed to putting in one of the defensive-defenseman options. Furthermore, he is right-handed, unlike Bartley, Alm, and Diaby, which could make him more comfortable than the aforementioned players in that third right defenseman spot. It's not a necessity but it's a definite plus. |

Lee isnt that good. He didnt have any impact on two different questionable defensive squads in Ottawa and Tampa. He retired at 27 before his PTO with the Preds. That says alot about him. |

Does anyone know how the two games Saturday are being handled? When I checked my ticket account online, I saw a ticket for the 3pm and another one for the 7pm. That leaves about 1.5 hours between games. Are we allowed to stay in the building, or do we have to exit and rescan? |
