Notable omissions for the Bolts include Steven Stamkos, Ryan Callahan and Jonathan Drouin for Tampa… a lot of familiar names on the roster that from the rookie tournament… the Preds are not taking Weber or Rinne. I know I will be listening for some of the chemistry Forsberg and Fiala showed in the rookie games.

Given the Ryan Ellis situation, the blueline will also bear watching. Can Jonathan Diaby make a case? Can Victor Bartley show he belongs in the top six? And of course, the big thing is the offense, how will this team adapt to a new system?

We get it started tonight at 6:30pm … No local radio but you can listen on Tampa’s station click this link to listen live.

Let’s light this candle!

Random Notes

- Viktor Stalberg is injured again in training camp… this player can’t seem to buy a break.

- Kevin Fiala continues to impress in camp… he is doing everything he can to make Peter Laviolette’s decision as hard as possible.

- Let’s not get cocky hockey fans… our game is not immune to domestic violence concerns.

- Scorched earth seems to be the way things are going in Columbus… first John Davidson… now Ryan Johansen’s agent.. this just keeps getting uglier.

- In case you missed it… the Preds are playing four games over this upcoming weekend at home. Thursday, two on Saturday and Monday… already getting my voice warmed up! I figure I’ll be in mid-season form… just in time to wait a week and a half for the home opener! :-)
