Todd Cordell: New Jersey Devils Sign Mark Fayne to Two-Year Contract Extension - Todd.Cordell
Seriously though, outstanding value. Guy could've truly fought to earn Andy Greene-type money, or at least 2 million. Him and Andy Greene practically shutdown the first lines in the first three series we played.
I'm not sure if someone is going to be moved, but the more I think, the more I feel the Devils are going to use Harrold as both a forward and a defensemen and send Janssen down to the minors. Harrold being able to play both roles will be invaluable. |

ESPN was reporting today in the rumors section that YASHIN has a concrete offer from an NHL team and he is poised to make his NHL return. Wonder who the team could be, he would sign cheap as he doesn't put up the goals like he used to but is still an effective center, also should be noted he has the same agent as Alex Semin. Could be a nice package signing for the Devils. |

He's a low risk high reward signing. I wouldn't be against it. If he returns to form, he'd be an outstanding top six player. |

I'm so glad his cap is so low. Everyone was saying to sign him for 2.7, no thank you. |

I would invite him to camp, at best, and let him prove he can play. It would be one thing if he was lighting up the KHL but he isn't even close to doing that. |

He's an old lazy (frank). There's about just as much of a chance of Pelley becoming a top 6 forward than Yashin returning to top 6 form at this point. |

He had 20pts. in 43 games, and just as bad the season before.

He can still win face offs and move the puck though, main reason I would consider it, is if Alex Semin and his agent are in any way pushing it in order for him to sign in NJ, Like I said they share the same agent and are both Russian and familar with Kovalchuk. Yashin would come cheap and if it brought Semin to NJ Id say do it. We have seen it before with Kovalchuk and Hedberg, Hedberg was buddies with Kovalchuk from Atlanta and shared same agent as Kovalchuk. Got to remember between Sykora Parise and Ponikarovsky they put up over 60 goals, you don't just not replace that. I think bringing in Semin and Yashin could help big time. |
