I am surprised by the NHL's announcement of TWO hearings for James Neal tomorrow morning. Not because he doesn't deserve a suspension for his blindside runs at Sean Couturier and Claude Giroux, but because the league did not suspend Shea Weber for his own incident earlier in the first round of the playoffs.
But Neal is a repeat offender under NHL rules, with a suspension in 2009-10 and a fine earlier this season on his rap sheet. I think that figures in, even though Couturier and Giroux appeared OK afterward.
As for Arron Asham's in-person hearing, nothing surprising there.
