Give me a break. The Weber rough on Zetterberg looked a lot worse than it actually was. It was a non-hockey play, and it could've warranted a 1-gamer. I would't have a problem with 1 game. Weber doesn't have a rep as a dirty player - so he got off a bit easy. (And it think it's possible Shanahan went easy because it was against the Wings and he didn't want to appear biased).
Not in the same ballpark as some of these other shenanigans. Not even close.
And yes, I'm a Preds homer. But if Franzen doesn't get a fine or suspension for spearing from yesterday's game, and Bertuzzi doesn't get a fine or suspension for a cheap punch at Gaustad while he was being restrained by Bertuzzi's teammate in Game 1, then something is wrong with that too. I guess Bertuzzi has to end another guy's career before he'll get another fine or suspension.

Bash guys face off galss - no games
sucker punch a player with repeated cheap shots - 1 game
hmmm.....
As long it is a non hockey play you should be ok. |

Dirty plays that wind up with disproportionately little supplemental discipline (Weber, Carkner) should now be referred to as "Shanahanigans". |

Bruins can play dirty but I wouldn't call then a dirty team..they're a strong and physical team.
Fans of teams that are jealous of the Bruin's would call them dirty but in the back of their minds they would gladly accept each and every one of Marchand, Lucic, Chara++++ on their team. |
