Currently the first round of the playoffs, my favorite two weeks of the NHL season are underway, but for what I do around here...with half the teams sitting on the sidelines...it is the official start of the NHL UFA season.

And this UFA season is going to be insane... There are some serious quality players this summer and for the first time, in some time, there is MONEY!

Lets look at the centers....

#1 Steven Stamkos. He is still playing, so I don't like to get into potential teams, but Stamkos has shown this season he has plenty left in the tank. And he is of course a quality leader who could be the final piece for several teams who feel they are close.

#2. Sam Reinhart. This will be the biggest test GM Zito has faced yet. Reinhart became a downright star this season in Florida.. A 50 goal scorer Reinhart is one of the biggest prizes still unsigned..

#3. Jake Guentzal. We know the Penguins would not have traded him if they felt at all they could keep him in Pittsburgh...That means he either wants way too much money or he knows a very specific team he wants to play for.

#4.Jonathan Marchessault. He has been the best and most consistent Knight since their very inception. It is shocking he hasnt been already locked up by Vegas...

#5. Teuvo Teravainen. Another Cane center....They simply can't lose both Guentzal and Teravainen.

Other notables....Henrique, Lindholm, and Wennberg...

Strongest group of Centers in a while...
