Experimenting with a line in practice is to be expected. Using that line in a game situation -- even during the preseason -- is something entirely different. Flyers coach Dave Hakstol confirmed after the team's practice on Sunday that Claude Giroux will be the left winger on a line with Sean Couturier and Jakub Voracek at MSG on Monday.
Giroux was originally drafted as a right winger and played his early NHL career there but has exclusively played center for the last seven years. Tomorrow night's game will be his first ever on the left wing.
Should be interesting to say the least.
