According to Nick Kypreos of Sportsnet, Dale Hunter will step down as Caps coach today.

Been hearing all sorts of rumors about this today, ranging from the Caps still don't think he is ready for the NHL, to Hunter is really enjoying coaching Juniors better...

I recall talking to a source about this last month who said, "In the NHL coaches are more Psychologists than coaches. In Juniors you can really affect change. Some guys simply aren't psychologists..."

Psychologist or not, had the Capitals had any luck at all they would be in the ECF. Hunter did a remarkable job for sure.

There will also be some very interesting news regarding Alex Semin shortly I am told. Semin played the best NHL hockey of his career in the playoffs and is a UFA...
