So It Was Boudreau Afterall

Well the Ducks won a game 7!!!

Finally!

So it must have been Boudreau's fault for all of those previous game seven defeats, after-all.

I don't think so, but it does make for a good chuckle.

Both game sevens were very entertaining contests and showcased the NHL talent very well.

The Ducks caught a very inexperienced Oilers team and held on to a 2-1 win, with a late errant pass to Connor McDavid that was off the mark. Inexperience showed as the puck should have gone to the net.

The Caps experienced the bitter disappointment yet again at the hands of Sidney Crosby and the Penguins. In this one Marc-Andre Fleury was the difference especially in the 2nd period where he made several 10 bell saves as the Capitals were buzzing the Pens net.

The 2nd Penguin goal, a weak backhander from Patric Hornqvist, really took the wind out of the Caps sails. Say what you want about Ovechkin not stepping up, but the same must be said about Holtby as well.

So now what happens to the Capitals and their long list of UFAs and significant RFAs that need to be resigned.

Here's hoping that the Wild can figure out a way to bring T.J. Oshie home to the State of Hockey.
