Mats Zuccarello was set to be a UFA at the end of the 2023-24 season. Today Bill Guerin, made sure Kirill Kaprizov had his linemate locked up through the 2025-26 season.

The deal carries and AAV of $4.125M which is a a reduction from his current $6M per year contract.

Zuccarello has been very consistent since he fully recovered from the wrist injury he suffered prior to his first season in Minnesota. Of course that also coincided eith the arrival of #97, who has teamed with Zuccarello both on and off the ice.
