Nothing on Tanguay, Something on Hossa

I spoke with Alex Tanguay last evening. Tanguay has not been approached by the Calgary Flames in regard to waive his NTC although his friends have all told him he is going to be traded.

However on the Hossa front it is my belief that Bob Gainey is solely after an impact player at this time, and the players available out there that fit that bill are Sundin and Hossa.

In regard to Hossa I have been told and I believe it to be true that the Canadiens have spoken to his agent Rich Winter. And have also manufactured equipment gloves for Hossa in the red white and blue colors should he need them. This is common practice at this time of year. Ironic that the Canadiens play in Atlanta the night of the trade deadline. The gloves turned out to be Marcel Hossa's.

In my opinion the best fit for the Canadiens is Sundin but I don't see Gainey giving up enough for a rental player that Leafs would need in return.
I will report back throughout the day with more as I get it.
