Patrick Roy's Number SHOULD be retired in Montreal

It has been recently stated by certain people that this incident, combined with the manner which Patrick left the team years ago should mean that his 33 sho

Nothing on Tanguay, Something on Hossa

I spoke with Alex Tanguay last evening. Tanguay has not been approached by the Calgary Flames in regard to waive his NTC although his friends have all told him he is going to be traded.

This past week has obviously been a trying one for the club and the youngster. However, I am of the feeling that, despite this all, Ryan O'Byrne is here to stay with the big club.

Ek's Note: I am extremely humbled that Yvon has joined our team. He is easily the most famous person around here and our first hockey Hall of Famer. He will be blogging in English and French, covering the Montreal Canadiens along with the NHL. His blogs will be appearing up top with Berger, Clement, Pang, Engblom and Strickland just as soon as we get the graphic ready with his photo. ENJOY!
