From the last thread;

Yeah, but also maybe Florida's that good this year and we shouldn't judge the Isles too harshly for losing a close game to them. Who knows? At least last night's game has me interested to see the next one.

I love that the D is getting more involved offensively. It makes a world of difference when there's that additional layer pressuring the other team in its own zone.

The thing I'm not liking so much is they leave players wiiiide open that walk right down the middle quite a bit when they're in their own zone.

I wasn’t judging them harshly it was more of an observation. I said numerous times there were glimpses where they looked good in that game. It was obvious they’ll need some time to adjust to what lambert wants. It’s not something that normally happens in a few preseason games. I like the way the D is more activated also. That’s todays NHL. I think there will be some adjustment to that also with some odd man rushes going the other way. Hope they can start to build after the last game.

To watch the "bottom pair d" all play a role in the scoring was fun to see and maybe says there will be a full d and no more controversy on d depth. The forwards are all healthy and if Bellows, Solshnikov and Johnston are reserves, that also says a lot over past years. A lot of games and a long season ahead, but a good start makes it

The bottom line here is that the Isles beat a team they needed to beat. Not letting games like this slip away will be critical to success in April.

That was nice Vukota. Hopefully more patience with young players overall. Especially defensemen take longer.

Some say fake other say not. Who really knows?

Oh, f–k’: Eyewitness to shirtless Islanders proposal believes it was all real
By Ryan Glasspiegel

While the internet seems certain the shirtless Islanders proposal was a fugazi, an eyewitness believes it was a genuine rejection.

During Thursday night’s game between the Islanders and Panthers, a fan took off his shirt and proposed to his girlfriend. She said no.

David Marcus, a 17-year-old Islanders fan who lives in Brooklyn, was at the game with his father. They were in section 118, row 19, one row ahead of the couple.

Marcus told The Post that at first he thought it was a run-of-the-mill Kiss Cam moment. “I didn’t think anything of it,” he said. But when Marcus went to go make a funny face behind them kissing, he was stopped by an arena worker who told him, “No, don’t do that. Something’s about to happen.”

From what I read just some showers like 60 -70 % up until 8pm so hopefully nothing more than a slight rain delay if that

the fact that they were both somewhat young and good looking should be the dead give away that the proposal was a fake.

I didn't care too much about this series until that jack wagon last night doing the homerun chant & the moron who whistled every single pitch to a Yankee player. Now I want them to blow them out.
