Hains: Pregame: Canadiens vs Jets
In the second game of a back-to-back the Canadiens will welcome the Winnipeg Jets at the Bell Centre tonight. - Karine Hains
kinda sucks that Joshua Roy will be playing with Alex Belzile and Brandon Gignac, not necessarily the best conditions to show off his skills lol
it's a first time playing with/against NHL players for a lot of these guys, even MSL doesn't have experience as coach to manage a training camp at this level. he'll have some adjustments to do, but he sounds like a really smart hockey mind, and seems to know how to talk to the kids, I'm confident he'll manage to have them make a significant progression throughout the year.

I mean, if he had a better camp he would've probably ended up with better linemates. Look at Heineman, Mesar and Beck. They earned their shot at playing with better players.
Not saying he had a bad camp but he wasn't very noticeable.

also true. but we're only 3 games in, I don't think he was previously paired with much better players either. kinda hard to establish chemistry on such short notice but it is what it is.

With 70 some at camp, how the hell do you get noticed, aside from shooting someone?
if I'm not mistaken though they didn't score on the PP but moved the puck rather well and applied pressure. it's all going to take some time to make things work..

by paying attention to detail on your own game and hope you make it through a few cuts so that there are fewer players and then potentially get a chance to finally get noticed..? doesn't sound easy lol

it was clear from the start that he would go back to junior anyway. no big deal

oh it isn't disastrous for sure, but it would be nice to see him play with better players and see how he handles himself, a little confidence booster never hurts.

Don't worry Pat, we'll all get a healthy dose of Drouin we can share..

Slafkovsky, Mesar, Beck, and Heineman look like interesting prospects for the future.
Mysak and Ylonen seem to have taken a step back.
no problem on d.
wish we could fast forward a few years.
also, happy to see Evans had a letter on his jersey last night. well deserved.

Why do you want to fast forward to all of the busts sucking? Live in the now of potential!
