there is one thing I have learned over my years dealing with the NHL and its owners it is that cities and groups who are getting close to what they want and want the NHL to allow it to happen get EXTREMELY quiet. The fact that Quebec has remained so quiet during this Coyotes’ craziness is very telling.

So no rumors or E sources for a franchise move. A move is in the works because there is silence. Ok. |

How can you have a rumor if there is silence? Is that a meta rumor? EM |

Eklund: Korpisalo on the Radar of Philly and Colorado. Quebec Franchise? Buzz@1 - Eklund
With all the upheaval in Arizona you may be wondering why Quebec is so very quiet. We know the Quebec group has the desire, built the building, and has past promises from the NHL that a franchise would be considered strongly in the near future.
and it's no secret Bettman doesn't give two flying damns about the Videotron arena in Qc, the NHL owes nothing to Quebecor let alone premier Legault and his promise to '' make hockey great again '' in Quebec |

I keep saying this and will until someone at least acknowledges it. I don't think that the Flyers (ownership) will let Fletcher make any long term decisions. I also wonder if he is on a short leash when it comes to making deals. |

I’ve been wondering if the Caps are trading Ovechkin at the deadline. Haven’t heard anything about it. Silence. That’s telling. They may do it before the deadline.

Gary Bettman's entire strategy for team location is driven by TV media markets. This isn't an HB commenter tossing out a mean statement, this is simply what his strategy is. It's why he's been so stubborn about keeping a team in Phoenix. The NHL has the Quebec media market completely locked up. There's nothing to be mined there. It's very, very, VERY unlikely that there will ever be another team in Quebec as long as Bettman is running things.
Anything about Colorado trading for a Goalie isn't even worth commenting about. They traded a first and one of their most promising right side D's for a G, and their backup is finally just about ready to start playing again. Plus they have no cap room. They aren't trading for a goalie. |

Quebec is not quiet at all, they've just named a senior cabinet member (the Minister of Finances) responsible of bringing a hockey team back in town. That's pretty much the exact opposite of being quiet. |

Korpisalo? Sure, because the Flyers need more overpaid garbage! |

Fletcher is a puppet, in a clown show. lol

Why in the world would the Flyers want Korpisalo unless he can score goals..Their season is over and backup goalie is the least of their problems. |

I dont think he has figured out that the voices in his head dont count. But hey, sometimes when we pretend it gives us the false sense of relevance we need to make ourselves feel important.
Too bad none of those voices can tell him how to spell |

If the Yotes move, Houston is a more likely destination than QC. Toronto will be pecking on Bettman’s head if he tries to go to QC.

Perhaps the Leafs will finally trade for Marek Svatos. |

I'm a little unclear why Toronto would be upset if the Coyotes moved to Quebec City. |
