RW saying something good about Matheson or Ceci is like when Hilary and Trump were forced to compliment each other at that debate a few years ago haha

I feel like the Penguins need shooting talent.
Most of our goal scorers score through hard work/smarts, which is okay, but especially without a net front presence... we need a sniper on the roster somewhere. I think Palmieri would be a wise TDL pick up.
Though Burkie might be more interested in the recently waived James Neal and his long pants haha.

If you only watched Pens games you'd think this team was starting to turn it around....... |

Like I said yesterday, I get more confidence from burying a Trotz team in goals than I get discouragement from getting mollywopped by a Caps team out for blood. Obviously if we roll over tomorrow that’s plenty concerning, but we’ll see the way this team continues to trend. |

Unfortunately Angello was just re-assigned to wbs as I think he would be a good player in what will prob be a rougher game by NYI’s 4th line. Even angello scrapping Martin would put them in the box for 5 and keep that lines chemistry shelved for a bit. I’d still try bellerive or Currie. Can’t be any worse. |

Matt Cullen was used as a backup faceoff, power play, and wing. If we are going to demote Blueger to 4th line center then you need to utilize him in other situations.
Guys who are in your top five scoring and more importantly, guys who have earned their playing time need to be rewarded. |

I think that is enough of a sample size to assume he can play the game.

Why no love for the Pens hottest player, Mr Zack Aston Reese... In all seriousness though he's looking good. Looks faster than ever. |

ZAR is playing well. Zucker looked like he just said screw it all, I'm shooting the puck. |

Wasn’t too long ago that Bellerive looked like he was trending towards being an NHL bottom Sixer. Absolutely nothing to lose from trying him at 4C over Jankowski who might be the worst forward in the NHL getting regular minutes. |

It’s not about demoting Blueger or taking away his ice time. It’s about getting scoring depth and contingencies to counting on guys with a poor history of offensive production to continue to score at 1st line rates at 5v5. That stat you asked for, of Blueger’s 1.0 pts/60 last year? That’s incredibly bad offensive production. This year he’s at 2.8, which is great, but you also need to be able to brace for a regression to the mean by constructing the other bottom 6 line to be offensively oriented.
The ZAR-Blueger-Tanev line is great. It was great last year when it was a pure checking line and didn’t score at all. It’s extra great this year that it’s scoring and looks like the second coming of Kennedy-Staal-Cooke. If it regresses to the mean and stops scoring, it will still be great and have a defined every night role of eating some really hard minutes against the opponent’s top lines. But if they do stop scoring, it’s absolutely imperative the other bottom 6 line can pick up the slack, and right now the jagaloons we have not only don’t score, but can’t stop the other team from generating grade A chances either. |

I am the only one on this board that ever liked ZAR. Even I soured on him last season but clearly his shoulder was limiting him big time.

Bellerive's early statiscal models had him right in line with the best forward prospects in the game. His trajectory changed drastically after the fire accident. |
