Anthony Travalgia: Do the Bruins add more to the roster on deadline day? The Bruins have already traded for Ondrej Kase, do they make another move before Monday's 3 PM deadline?

What assets do they have left to trade?

They really only need depth at this point IMO.

They can still move their 2nd or 3rd round picks. They still have all their 2021 picks and they've had talks about moving Khulman, Bjork or Heinen.

Prices will be high.

The high prices are what worry me.
How many of those late-season trades that moved futures worked out for them in the past though?

At this point, unless it is Palmieri or Hoffman. Just leave it alone.

Idk man he’s scoring at a higher rate than Heinen and he’s a banger. I’d like to see him play before making judgement. I liked Heinen but he for sure played himself out of the lineup. I think he’ll flourish in obscurity

Ritchie's a bigger body - may come in handy in PlayOffs.

He's only played 41 games... was injured?

Disagree. I volunteer to drive Heinen to the airport. Very expensive for the bag of fluff that he is. More cap space to ensure Krug stays.

They have more than enough cap space going into next year to get Krug signed.

The cap space is still helpful to have. There could also be another move coming. If you like the player that's OK. To me he is not a game breaker and I don't think he was anything but overpaid.

They have to sign Krug, DeBrusk, Gryz,Bjork and Kuhlman at the least. Heinen was odd man out, Richie and the cap savings isn't bad.

well with Marlueau and Kovalchuck already traded, (and Backes) Joe is the last available over the hill and way too slow player.

Smart Two way player that can play any where in the lineup for Matt Belesky 2.0.. Sorry but I don’t like it at all.

Who has made zero improvement in any of the areas he has been told to work on (actually got worse year-to-year). Production was not worth the money being paid. Don't hate the player, just think there are better options already in the organization to fill his role.

Heinen costs more for similar production and << physicality.
Not sure how you figure Bruins are worse off going into the playoffs.

I agree - I like the move. The 1.3 million in savings will come in handy when dealing with Krug's extension (if that's the route they're going).

I'm excited to see what Kase brings to this team. I think he'll be a very pleasant surprise.

So maybe here is where we are at

Pasta - Patrice - Marchand
Debrusk-Krejci-Kase
Bjork-Coyle-Ritchie/Kuhlman
Nordstrom-Kuraly-Wagner

Ritchie could slot anywhere with that bottom 6
OR if Kase doesnt seem to fit maybe see what Ricthie does for 3-4 games

I am just disappointed to see them sell early on a young player again. I think Heinen is undervalued and is likely going to be a better player than both players we brought in.

I am interested to see Kase play more but he seems like an injured version of Heinen. The other teams in the east got better at the deadline. I am not sure the Bruins improved.

If you told me the Bruins were trading a first and Heinen i would have expected a much better return. We will see. I am sure i will end up liking both players.

Got mixed feelings on Heinen. His skating created problems for teams in the playoffs, but hands like Paille. 🤮 His numbers have steadily decreased to the press box. Not a big loss.
Ritchie’s numbers are also underwhelming, but like the physical element, they need some pushback in their forward group.
As far as Kase goes, he’s gonna have a very good centerman #46 dishing him the puck! Remember when everyone thought Johansson was one hit away from retirement last year!? He did alright in this lineup.
