Hes always been overrated. Everyone knew the trade and ensuing contraft was a disaster. Now he cant even stay healthy.

Which, quite frankly, makes the sharks significNtly better defensively, instantly.

No he wasn't ALWAYS over rated. There was a time his skating, defensive awareness, and overall play was much better than it's been. Who knows if he'll turn around but he was the best player not named Crosby and McDavid 3 years ago in my opinion

This was my 5th Sharks game but first time seeing a Sharks win. I was sitting right behind the net that all 5 goals were scored on. If you look at the highlights you can see a DBag in a white Sharks hat 👍

I wish a team wanted to take Karlson. Feel he is overrated, always has been. A good player but elite level commanding that salary no way and he seems to get hurt easy.

Always been awful defensively, but more than made up for it offensively during his time in Ottawa. That being said, he was still the #1 scorer on the sharks...

I think the whole Sharks team needs a long offseason to heal and regroup. I think they will be back in the mix next year.

It’s time to start selling players right away.
Dillon and M Karlsson should be packing their bags. Marleau as well. Go ahead and ask Big Joe where he’d like to go for a Cup run.

Take on poopty short term deals and retain salary to improve return on those rentals.

Giddy up.

EK was really good in Ottawa for 2 reasons:
1. He was younger and not riddled with injuries.
2. Marc Methot held down the fort so he could free wheel up and down the ice.

If he can heal up solid this offseason then he might be able to return to form. SJ was playing him with Vlasic. Not sure how well they played together since I don’t watch many Sharks games.

I disagree..... they don't give Norris trophies to D-men that can't play in their own zone or are "awful defensively". He was never an "A+ defender" but he was average in Ottawa at worst. Since he's gone to San Jose (and perhaps even before then) it's amazing how horrible he looks at down low effectiveness and stick work.

I agree that for the most part Karlsson was overrated, but there were a few years he was amazing. I remember him single handily beating the bruins in the playoffs and almost dragging that trash team to the finals

They might not be the only lottery first rounder to give up while missing the playoffs, and really turn about is fair play the sens gave up what might be the Norris AND calder winner in cale makar isn't that a killer.

The leafs are not free and clear YET, Carolina has that because of the marleau salary dumping.

That Sens lottery pick given up was for Bowen Byram. Not Makar. The Leafs’ first round pick is top ten protected. I can’t wait to see who Ottawa selects with that pick which currently sits at 5th-6th last overall.
