Tre needs to pry Mantha out of Detroit, they’re in a full rebuild and we badly need another top 6 winger. Pushing Backlund down to 3c will help the bottom 6.

You will get there. When JG and SM first came into the league they was nothing but optimism. Just like the optimism you now feel with Petterson.

Soon, just like life, your young players will falter to meet your expectations. Leaving you as nothing more than a hollow shell of your former optimistic self.

Totally agree, put Dube with some guys with talent for a few games (sm jg). Let's see what he's got.
He's probably happy playing with anyone but let's face it Looch and Ryan are not fleet of foot or as offensively creative as they used to be.

Hopefully, Sam Bennet is more motivated after that healthy scratch. Man, I remember when he came into the league and was making all those crazy and creative plays like through the leg shots and all that. Kinda like how Tkatchuk does it now but don't know what happened to Sam. Still a good player but I guess we just have to accept he is a 3rd line player. It's kinda hard though because he is the highest drafted player in Flames history and we all had very high expectations of him. Oh well, as long as he is having fun, he will be an impact player in the playoffs (if we make it to playoffs). Happy New Year everyone! Be safe )
