Paul McCann: Coming home with 4 of 6

Oh look Paul returned, the sun must be shining. Good win, hopefully its not a flash in the pan, I liked the effort, if they win out they may have a chance in the first round of taking it to seven games.

Holy Crap! A full sixty minute effort where the team actually played decent defense! And against a really good team! They can still do it! It's amazing what can happen when you actually have the puck once-in-a-while, and aren't watching the other team zip past you shift after shift due to horrible turnovers and lazy plays.

I did actually except the Preds to win Saturday night, if follows the pattern of this season after all. Play a lousy team you have no business losing too and either barely win or lose outright, especially when you desperately need a win. Play a divisional rival in an important game you should have no trouble getting up for, and then don't show up and get smoked. Go out on the road and play a good team that's superior to you, a game that nobody really expects you to win, and then find a way to win... Preds season in a nutshell.

To be perfectly honest, he's just kind of there right now. Nothing too great, nothing too terrible. Strangely, haven't really seen him touch the puck all the that often. He has brought some toughness though, to a team that's been kind of soft and too easy to push around at times this year. Still have to see a little more of him to make a proper assessment.
