Considering we are likely to get our Richards knocked in the dirt, I'm surprised Hynes isn't going back to Cory. Nothing like struggling to find the W column and playing Tampa Bay. Especially for this team.

I didn't mean that as a dig at Cory. That was meant to complain about how Hynes has given Cory a lot of the hard matchups. I mean when your struggling they're all hard but TB is a team that can break out a can off ass whoop at any point.

Went to the baby devils game last night. Second half of a back to back but it was rough. Only players that were noticeable were studenic and Q.

Mcloud and speers were disappointing. MM can fly but didn’t do much of anything else. He looks like he’s going to need some time down there which is fine. I expected more from speers.

Hopefully NJ gives studenic a look soon.

Glad that all of our games against Tampa were early in the year so we could be beaten into submission early and decide to tank instead of clinging on for dear life and missing the playoffs but also getting a bad draft pick.

With Greene top pairing, seney on the 4th line while Noesen is 2nd...... We are tanking. I was really hoping to see Butcher pushed into a bigger role this season, but the minutes are going to some major plugs on the ice. Why LJ over Yakovlev? 7 points in 7 AHL games, and some beautiful assists in the NHL. He is 27 and doesn't need to develop in the minors

Agreed! Seney has been playing well, why not expand his ice time and see what he can produce. Yakovlev making nice offensive plays but also laying some big hits which everybody likes to see. Who cares if he's out of position sometimes, he can skate and plays hard. Don't really get these moves either.

this will be one of the saddest iterations of Devils-Rangers rivalry where both teams are trying to lose so they can still get a poopty draft pick and not be much better next season.

If we end this year as bottom feeders (hopefully and likely), does Shero switch anything up in the coaching staff? I've been a defender of Hynes but I'm starting to think we need someone new. The problem is that Shero and Hynes have a special relationship (🙄) so I don't see Hynes getting the boot. Thoughts?

Although he's made some questionable OT personnel decisions, I don't fault him for all that much.

It's really evident how much it hurt to lose Geoff Ward as assistant - our PP was pretty solid under him.
