"If the other two signings today (Prow, Di Pauli) get ice time in Pittsburgh it's because their big offseason signing was a complete bust."
RW is warming up. He doesn't seem quite as convinced now that JJ will be a bust...
No way injuries could be a factor either...it would just have to be the "big" signing busting.... |

Wilson is gonna be soooo salty when JJ ends up playing top 4 or paired with Letang
And I’m gonna Loooovvvve it |

So, if JJ gets top pairing minutes and is just terrible, you’re going to love it? Interesting... |

Yeah, he sorta almost wrote a blog without taking an indirect shot at JJ.
And I thought the same thing, if a few defenders go down, that would possibly open the door for Prow. Also, what would JJ's level of play have to do with Di Pauli getting ice time in the NHL? Isn't he a forward? |

He never said he wants him to be terrible, he just wants to see RW's reaction when he's not playing on the 3rd pair. |

He is a forward.
On a side note. I just don’t think Blueger has a real future in the NHL aside from the occasional call up.
IMO Blueger is being talked about because there’s nobody else to talk about. |

Yea hopefully the pens can sign a few more college free agents to help fill out the bottom six in the coming years |

Where’s the best place to get. JJ authentic Pens Jersey. I had my Adams jersey framed and it now hangs on my wall beside Lemieux’s. When JJ retires a Penguins in 7 years I’d like to add that to the wall. |

Probably the NHL store or the Penguins fan shop.
Edit: You can do it at the NHL store, just have to customize it. Will run you $249.

Well, as a Caps fan it was disappointing to see Di Pauli not sign with us. His stats suggest he is a bust. (bust for the Caps since they spent the pick on him) |

Would be cool if DiPauli could do something. I enjoyed chearing for him at ND but he was never really good until his senior season. Reminded me a lot of Luis Mendoza from The Mighty Ducks: super fast but couldn’t control his skating at all. |

Rooting for the Pens to make bad decisions to #OwnTheWilsonites since day 1. |

I don’t think it’s fair of RW to say that Teddy already has a ceiling of 4C. Who knows what his ceiling is. Riley Sheahan only had 18 in 31 during his half year with Grand Rapids at 23. Then he plays with the big club and puts up 24 in 42. 0.57PPG is not 4th line level production despite what his AHL stats may have suggested.
Maybe that’s really how RW feels about Teddy or maybe it’s 100% based off stats (likely). Seems like poor wording since he hasn’t touched NHL ice yet |

There's a chart that gets regurgitated around here often showing PPG in AHL/NHL success rates...so yeah, 100% off stats. |

I feel like if Blueger we're to ever make it higher in the lineup it would be at the winger position in the NHL but as a center I can see it being 4th line with maybe a chance as 3C but doubtful. |

Guys are capable of outshooting their projections. Bryan Rust is one guy that did that. Happens all the time. But its also unwise to make roster decisions assuming someone is going to be better than what they're projecting as. I want to see Bleuger get a shot. I've been kind of following him since he was in college. But Rutherford has to assume he can only provide replacement level 4th line center duties until he shows otherwise, or else we risk having a depth problem. |

Uhh Sheahan's age 23 season was a 36 point NHL campaign.
Also this will be Blueger's age 24 season and he has not even played in the NHL yet.
Last year's AHL production was equal to 24.67 NHL points based on this:

Yea def, unless he has an anomaly season. But as I said earlier if he happens to somehow become a regular at all in his career I could see it happening at wing not center. Not saying I think he will but just a thought haha. |
