part of me thinks if a trade is coming, Hino/Kero will be two players on the go. possibly even kempny. |

I liked the Sharp signing, at the amount...but, time to let him sit a game here or there.
Hawks will go 3-2 over the next 5. They beat the Ducks, lose to Nashville, split with Dallas, then beat the kings.
All games decided by 2 or less goals.

I think 1 an 4 hopefully I'm wrong and it goes the other way. Reason this club has some major holes on it need a top 4 d man 2 centers and another top 6 lw or rw forward with size and speed. To me the hawks a eastern conference team playing in the west they play a more up and down style where as the west plays more defensive type of game clog up the neutral zone and dump and chase. The sharp experiment is over sit him a couple of games and put kero in between Hartman and panik move dcat up with towes and saad, dcat needs to play with top 6 talent. Hawks are not getting a top 4 damn because with exception of a few teams every team is looking for one. So the best move in my mine is get a solid defensive center who can win faceoff on consistent basis example 2015 vermette. Highly doubt the hawks can land evander kane don't have the assets or picks to do it. The team I would be looking at is Edmonton and the panthers maroon strome letestu from Edmonton conner brickley sceviour from florida. Justin any trade rumor swirling not only with the hawks but with other teams around the league? |

Either 3-1-1
or 1-4
Do they keep scoring and Corey continues his stellar play 3-1-1
If they play less than 60 in any of the games 1-4.
Something in my mind to watch for is Radulov trying to injure a
Hawk, when he fell on Arty last year, it just didn't look natural to
me. Whether or not intent was there.

What type of return do you think the Hawks could get for Hartman, Kempny, and a 2nd? |

First I switch Hartman with panik I don't think the hawks have 2nd in this years draft it have to be a 1st or 3rd but depends what hawks at looking for 2nd or 3rd line center another defense man top six forward.? |

the sharp signing was nothing more than him playing 11-13 forward...
its obvious his days of a top 9 are over....i thought if they could 12 plus goals and maybe 30 pts = a huge plus; not happening...
sadly he is taking away time from from a younger player (like Hino) and matching him with 38 and 12 is complete waste of their skill set... |

The thought of moving one of Hartman and Panik this year is a lot different than last season.
Both of those guys provided a nice physical presence that the Hawks didn't have a lot of in 2016-17.
Now, with the emergence of Hayden (and that entire 4th line) and Murphy on the backend, the Hawks are now "harder to play against" as they are taking the body more.
CHI sits 25th in hits (a nice jump from last in the past 2 seasons).

25th in hits is going to scare somebody? Not if the opposition keeps their heads up. Better than 31st, sure. Still not saying much. But it's trending slowly. |

Add Rackell to your list, Justin. He is not on this trip due to an upper body injury. The Ducks have very little skill left in the line up. Half of this team should be in San Diego. The defense and the goaltending have been pretty good so that should keep it close, but if the Hawks look as good tonight as they did against Florida... |

Overall that jump just shows more willingness to take the body, a trend that I'm sure, we've all noticed this year.
25th is not scary by any means, but their hits appear to be making more of a difference this year.
People may not like Lance Bouma, but he sure knows how to hit. Same with Wingels.
I don't take pleasure in seeing players get hurt, but it takes a toll on a team mentally and physically. Heck, Cody Franson even knocked a guy out of the game on Saturday (Dadonov).
I think this added physical presence puts them in a much better place come playoff time.

Thanks Duxcup... I wasn't sure if he made it or not.
Another big loss for them. That guy is a player. |

Minor typo on the Hawks record, they are 11-8-3 with the OT losses to Toronto, Edmonton and Tampa Bay. I think it has been disappointing they have a 5-4-1 record at the UC.
I think they turned a corner in November and the losses this month have been more rotten luck than playing bad. The top guys are starting to get going with a little more puck luck on their chances. I could see the team going on a bit of a run here. |

don't move panik. love the first line of 20/19/14. water usually finds its level...this line will find the back of the net. |

I think you need to temper your expectations, 0 for 5 is more likely. This team has one legit top 6 forward (Kane), no top pairing d-men (they're all over the hill or useless rookies), and the goalie is average (at best). On top of all the Q switches up the lines any time they start showing any signs of chemistry. |

The Hawks have never been a team that hits a lot, I'd rather them have the puck then worrying about checking to get the puck back. The 4th line is playing well and they're effective in their role. Stan did his job in that regard. |

BTW, anyone else notice Tanner posts his blog right after the Hawks blog goes up? Seems to be a trend... |
