The Blackhawks looked as good as we've seen them all year in the 1st period on Saturday night, dominating the Panthers.

Florida had some pushback, but it was great to see the Hawks hold on for a decisive 4-1 win, led by their Captain with 1G, 2A.

Gustav Forsling continues to showcase his consistency to the coaching staff, which has seen him skate 21+ minutes in 6 of his last 7 games.

On the other end, trending in the opposite direction, Patrick Sharp saw the least amount of ice time on Saturday at 10:50.

The Blackhawks team that won vs. the Panthers looked like a team that was finally clicking. The fact that Coach Q has put away his blender, for now, has helped build some chemistry.

The forward lines are looking like they are in sync (well that 3rd line could use some work) but more importantly, the D pairings appear settled in.

It's been a rocky road to get to 11-8-2 record, however, there may be better times ahead.

Looking at tonight's game, the Hawks take on the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks have really battled some injuries all year and it looks like some fan favourites are out tonight:

Getzlaf
Kesler
Eaves
Kase
Boll

Still, the Hawks should not take these guys lightly.

Expect the same lineup for Quenneville tonight with the exception of maybe Forsberg in net. He's going to get one of the next games.

Now, looking ahead, the Hawks have a tough go. Good thing they are 6-3-1 in their last 10 games because this isn't going to be easy.

Here's what they're looking at:

11/27 – Ducks
11/28 – @ Predators
11/30 – Stars
12/2 - @ Stars
12/3 – Kings

What's your prediction on the Hawks record out of those 5 games in 7 days?

Let's hope they can stay the course.

See ya out there!
