I commend the Flames on this move. No one should make more than the captain. Follow Detroits model. Its worked for 20 some odd years.

That agent.

Six years of Johnny is better than no years. He hasn't asked for a trade, has said he wants to stay in Calgary, cares about his teammates, etc. If he decides at the end of six years that he wants to go elsewhere, so be it. I hope that doesn't happen but if it does, I hope the writing is on the wall and they deal him before free agency.

Helluva job by BT on that contract.

I don't know the details of the situation but I have a hard time believing that his agent was okay with this haha. Anyway, time to crack the CR. This is cause for celebration.
