You have to forgive him, as the leafs are only good enough (in the last decade) to make the playoffs in a 48 game season.

Funny how he forgets that the mightily leafs sat in 11th in the Conference on January 10th, below the Senators, and that is "close to" the Lightning who sat in 3rd in the Conferences on the same day.

But Bernier's injury was the reason for them not making the playoffs?

Signed: Burn, Roeper and Glucky...

I honestly don't dislike these guys, but they can take crude oil and turn it into gold....

Um yeah, I never said that. I fact I have argued against those that have said that. So you're wrong.

No, it was about Burke. That is the thread title.

And can I see the quote I made about how they are so much better than Tampa?

I simply pointed-out how the margin of error is so small. Tampa could easily miss the playoffs next season.

You said on the previous page that the leafs had better D, forwards, goaltending, coaching, and gm

You said Tampa is not in a better position going into next season. As it stands Tampa is a significantly better team. The leafs are almost as close to the sabers as Tampa.

Wednesday @ 8:48 AM ET
Not younger. Not better forwards(Tampa has Stamkos. That's it.) at all.Not better goaltending. Better GM? Eh, what has Yzerman done?

And cap space means zip if you don't spend it. Toronto is the NHL's richest team. Tampa is a budget team.

Ben Bishop of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Tuukka Rask of the Boston Bruins and Semyon Varlamov of the Colorado Avalanche are the three finalists for the 2013-14 Vezina Trophy, which is awarded "to the goalkeeper adjudged to be the best at his position," the National Hockey League announced Friday.

I'll bet Bernier and Reimer finished as the fourth and fifth runners up, eh?

Uh, no.

A 2 week tank job by the Leafs doesn't put Tampa in another league. The Last time Tampa made the playoffs btw, they missed the next 2 years.

Again, the margin of error is so close between all these teams.

Are you going to be one of those people which pick the same teams to make the playoffs every year? Because that never happens.

I disagreed with a post that said Tampa was far better in every category.

Dude you can't take off their poor streak but count their hot streaks. Sorry but point total differential is significant. More depth better goaltending and better high end talent puts them in another league not a tank job.

Another league from the Leafs? Let's be serious. And statistically, they had worse depth BTW.

"Better High-End Talent". Where exactly?

Why don't you just stop. You are making yourself look bad. Tampa is a much better team and any non homer can see that. Check the standings.
