I think home ice advantage means nothing because the Leafs crowd in the building is pathetic and actually puts more pressure on the team than encouragement. The Panthers know Stolarz's weakness so I think he loses the net but by time Woll gets the net, it might be too late.

On the flip side, since everybody thinks Florida is the favorite, it takes pressure off the Leafs, allows them to play freely and get ahead in the series. But when those elimination games come, the pressure returns and they crumble. Except this time, it's not Ottawa...it's Florida...

This Florida team has been able to shut down Kucherov to the point of 0 playoff goals in 10 games the past two playoff years. We're talking about a guy who has scored a total of 260+ points the last two seasons. If that was Marner or Matthews, this market would be in uproar. But that's how good they are defensively.

There's basically only one way the Leafs win this series; Florida is fatigued, Bob gets injured and the referees give the Leafs 6 PP per game.

History would be winning 3 rounds in the playoffs. Never been done and won't be done unless they win round 2 first. They must prevail tonight, if they entertain any idea of winning the series. If by chance or by fortune, they win the series, there is a path to the finals. The Metro teams aren't near as strong as the Atlantic. Their point totals were run up thanks to cripple teams in their division. If Ottawa was in the Metro, they would have been ahead of New Jersey. They might have taken out Carolina. Too bad that they wouldn't go back to the Conference format, giving the two division leaders the top 2 seeds.

In 24 hours, ask that question again. It's imperative that they win game 1, to have any chance to win this series. You don't want to be chasing the series like Tampa. Time to man up and go to war, black flag and all. Take no prisoners. You can bet that Florida Pan-handlers will do that.

So much eh! Guy was talking how scoring a 100pts in a season for the first time ever - was not going to boost his confidence going into a playoffs? And last change (home ice) when you play a team that physically is more dominant than yours and that have an elite shutdown centre doesn’t matter? Clearly not even a Jr C kinda fella…I’m going with TimBits hockey then realized the game takes sac and he quit.
